Installed 32 new lab hoods with auto sash closers factory installed and switch over existing utilities to these hoods. Installed Auto sash closers on approximately 125 existing hoods. Installed new VAV’s in all lab rooms, and new control dampers at all fume hood exhaust connections. Removed two existing inline Make-up air fans and replaced them with a new make-up air unit with a chilled water coil and steam reheat coil. Installed over 600’ of chilled water piping along with pump and controls and we removed 48 individual exhaust fans and installed new stainless steel ductwork on the roof with two new exhaust fans and bleed dampers. This project made the building more efficient by reducing the amount of conditioned air being exhausted from the lab hoods when not in use by a lab technician. The sash doors on the hoods will close automatically when the Tech walks away from the hood for more than 3 minutes.
