History

MAWP started as a home-based business in 1987 by Bruce Ewing. He often went door to door, meeting with business and home owners. He offered to do any type of job needed, big or small.

The company was incorporated March 30, 1990.

In 1992, Bruce hired some employees, and ventured into the business of government contracting. MAWP soon stared working with general contractors on Job Order Contracts (JOC) at Fort Riley, Kansas. Bruce’s father Delbert, having a lifetime of knowledge and experience as a Plumber, helped estimate projects. Together Bruce and Delbert created a solid foundation to which has been passed on, carrying and sustaining MAWP into the future. Bruce retired in 2012 and sold the company to a few employees. Since then MAWP has continued its commitment of providing the highest standards of service.

During the past 30 years MAWP has worked with hundreds of General Contractors and has successfully completed remodel, repair and new construction projects all over the United States for commercial, military, government, educational, healthcare and residential facilities

MAWP has worked with numerous general contractors who hold MATOC and MEDCOM contracts all over the United States. We work closely with each of them during the initial proposal phase, design phase and construction phase. We have also been awarded direct solicitation projects through the Fort Riley Directorate of Contracting.  We are very proud of the positive working relationships we have established not only with government personnel at Fort Riley but also at many other locations. MAWP has completed projects at over 20 different military installations all over the United States such as McConnell AFB KS, Whiteman AFB MO, Fort Polk LA, Fort Leavenworth KS, Fort Leonard Wood MO, Fort Sill OK, Fort Carson CO, Fort Campbell KY.

MAWP is proud to have worked successfully with each succeeding General Contractor on the Job Order Contract (JOC) at Fort Riley, Kansas since its inception. We have worked in cooperation with these contractors through all aspects of a project. This includes attending initial site visits, providing mechanical and plumbing design and engineering, creating line-item proposals, production of CAD drawings, attending negotiations, and all other aspects through project completion.  We also have extensive experience with all government paperwork and reporting requirements such as material submittals, Start-up Reports, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, and Weekly Certified Payroll Reports.
