LMI Aerospace

LMI Aerospace asked MAWP if we would design and upgrade their existing aging and inadequate HVAC system serving their manufacturing facility in Cottonwood Falls, KS. Two major requests: reduce the amount of VOC’s in the workspace and provide adequate cooling capability. The space was approximately 27,000 sqft and was served by (3) packaged HVAC units with no outside air capability. MAWP retrofitted the existing ductwork and installed additional ductwork. We removed the existing equipment and installed two new AAON packaged units. The AAON units included economizers to bring in fresh air, energy recovery wheel’s to temper the outside air and save energy and 4” chemically enhanced carbon pleated filters to help reduce VOC’s.
